Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"My brother and I tried The Goat Diner for the first time, and one of the specials was the chicken and waffles. When it arrived, it looked great, but I asked the waitress for powdered sugar, which really kicked it up a notch. The meal was absolutely delicious, and the portion was very generous—more than enough fried chicken breast and waffle left over for a second meal. I would definitely return the next time I’m in South Jersey."
"This restaurant is a total winner! Very clean. Great service. Delicious food. Love the pictures of goats! The bonus is gluten free bread for toast which now makes this our favorite breakfast place. The avocado toast on gluten free toast with crisp bacon and an egg on top was totally delicious."
"Absolutely Amazing. Great start to our morning. Stand was great Food was great We will 100% be back"
"We stopped for breakfast on our way home from Cape May! All I can say is yum! The food was out in a timely manner and ALL of it was very good! The staff was very friendly. Space was calm & quiet. Stopped again on our way home from AC! The food was amazing again! The staff was friendly. Environment is calm and quiet with some humor! All around good breakfast spot! We will be back again!"
"My first time there I ordered the Reuben sandwich. It was the best Reuben I've had in a very long time. The following morning I ordered cream chipped beef and hash brown potatoes. Another amazing meal. It was a very large portion. More than I could eat. The waitresses were friendly and professional. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this little gem to my friends and family."
"The eggs were over easy and cooked to perfection. The hashbrowns were nice and soft with a slight crisp to them. The steak was a big portion. I ordered medium rare. Definitely needed a shareable plate and the fruit bowl was perfect, fresh, sweet and healthy! The waffle and pancakes did have a spongy texture, personally didn’t seem like the recipe was the best or as nice quality. The server was nice and attentive to our table so it made it a great experience."
"A fantastic place to eat if you want home cooked food. I came here after a long night with my friends. When you're leaving Atlantic City, this is the place to enjoy a yummy breakfast. Prepare to wait for a bit but it's all worth it. Locals were raving about the food. The host was friendly. Waitress did not check on us to see if we needed anything. I had to walk up to her and ask for a fork, a glass of water and the check. It was busy on a Sunday morning and that's to be expected. I'll definitely come here again. No question. I also love that this diner will be open on Thanksgiving. The decor is absolutely adorable and fitting for a cozy place like this. And there is plenty of parking available."
"Our hostess Selena was very nice and the food was delicious, The Goat decor was a nice touch to the atmosphere. I ordered the Hog breakfast sandwich and it was a perfect balance of pork, bacon, cheese, and eggs on a beautiful bun. I also recommend getting their crispy hash browns. Overall I recommend this place to anyone who likes comfort food. It’s a must have if you’re in Pleasantville."
